Telemundo returns to Florida on March 23

All Star Boxing Inc. and Promoter Felix “Tuto” Zabala Jr. is proud to announce “The Season 2007” at the Kissimmee Civic Center. Friday March 23, 2007. It’s the return of Boxeo Telemundo at the most electrifying venue in Florida the Kissimmee Civic Center. In the main event, Former 2004 Athens Olympian and WBO Latin Champion Alex “El Pollo” De Jesus (13-0-9 KO’s) hailing from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico faces the Aztec Warrior Humberto Tapia (10-4-1-6 KO’s) from Tijuana, Mexico. De Jesus will defend his WBO Latin Title for the first time since he obtained it on November 17, 2006 against the rugged and battletested Jefferson Rodriguez of Colombia.

“Since the beginning of time the biggest and most exhilarating battles have been when two warriors, one being from Puerto Rico and the other from Mexico, have confronted each other in the ring. For example Wilfredo Gomez vs. Lupe Pintor and Felix Trinidad vs. Fernando Vargas have been amongst the most exciting wars. Therefore this main event has the making of nothing less than fireworks,” said Zabala Jr.

There will be a total of 8 bouts, one of them featuring the undefeated top prospect Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. of Puerto Rico. Also from Caguas, Puerto Rico the exciting Jose “El Gallo” Reyes, who will be fighting along with other young local talent.
