PRESS RELEASE: Just 48 hours after the Dr. Theodore Atlas Dinner raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the less fortunate, big hearted Teddy Atlas was at it again. The boxing trainer and ESPN/2 Friday Night Fights commentator was up early Saturday morning at PS 35 in Staten Island, getting ready to make Thanksgiving a happy time for those in need. Accompanied by his aides de camp Joe Fama and Kathy Zito, Teddy was helping to distribute 400 turkeys with all the trimmings to less fortunate families from Staten Island to Asbury Park, from shelters throughout the area. He called John Cirillo to share the good news, and couldn't hide the pure joy of giving back. "We have yams, cans of corn, gravy, juice, coffee, rolls, potatoes," enthused Atlas as he walked down the long line of products. "And of course, 400 turkeys. There are vans and the streets are closed. The products are lined up 70 feet long and seven feet high. We are making a difference!"The world could use more people like Teddy Atlas.
