Team Combat league's second season starts this week

Francis Ngannou’s coach, Dewey Cooper, announced that the second season of Team Combat League (TCL) is set to premiere on March 28th, 2024. TCL made waves in the boxing world when it was first introduced in 2023, offering a fresh and innovative take on the sport. With 24 rounds of intense professional boxing action, the league pits two teams against each other to determine which city boasts the best fighters. According to Cooper, each team consists of both male and female fighters, with each round presenting a new opportunity for competitors to showcase their skills and dominate their opponents. The team with the highest cumulative points at the end of the 24 rounds emerges victorious, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.

The inaugural season of TCL featured renowned fighters like 2012 Olympian Michael Hunter, and the upcoming season is expected to showcase even more talent. Former IBF flyyweight champion Ava Knight of the Las Vegas Hustle team and former NFL player and UFC fighter Greg Hardy are among the notable names set to compete in the league.

The reigning champions, the New York City Attitude team, are gearing up to defend their title after clinching victory in season one. However, they’ll face stiff competition from rival teams eager to dethrone them and claim the championship for themselves.

TCL's championship finals are scheduled to take place in London later in the year.

In Cooper’s words, TCL offers “insanity in a great boxing package,” promising fans an unforgettable experience filled with electrifying matchups and jaw-dropping moments.
