Florida natives and longtime rivals Antonio Tarver and Roy Jones Jr. face off for the third time on Saturday, October 1st at the St. Pete Times Forum. Presented by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and Square Ring, Inc, Tarver-Jones Jr. 3 will be shown live on HBO Pay-Per-View starting at 9 p.m. ET.

Pensacola native Jones Jr. and Orlando native Tarver first crossed paths nearly 25 years ago as 13-year-olds at the Sunshine State Games in Gainesville, and each went on to become Olympic Medallists. As professionals, Jones Jr. became one of the most decorated champions in boxing history while Tarver fought his way to the top to become world light heavyweight champion.

Jones Jr.-Tarver I took place on November 8, 2003, with Jones winning by decision. The rematch took place on May 15, 2004 and Tarver shocked the world by knocking Jones Jr. out in Round 2. On October 1, Tarver and Jones Jr. will settle the score, and this time there will be “No Excuses.”
