Press Release: TV Azteca of Mexico has signed an exclusive agreement with Golden Boy Promotions to broadcast Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez' fights in Mexico. The agreement between Golden Boy Promotions and TV Azteca will begin with the broadcast of the twelve-round 154-pound bout between Alvarez and knockout-artist James "The Mandingo Warrior" Kirkland on May 9th, from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
The announcing team of Box Team Azteca is led by legendary Mexican fighters Julio Cesar "JC" Chavez, Erik "El Terrible" Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez as well as Carlos Aguilar, Eduardo Lamazón and Rodolfo Vargas.
"TV Azteca broadcast my first televised national fight against Victor "El Negro" Márquez, and I am happy to return to this prestigious home and have it be the platform that displays my professional career at this stage," said Canelo Alvarez.
