TRINIDAD AND MAYORGA MAKE $100,000 BET

Legendary champion Felix “Tito” Trinidad, returning to the ring after a two year layoff, is “Back with a Vengeance” when he meets the exciting former WBA/WBC welterweight champion Ricardo “El Matador” Mayorga in New York’s Madison Square Garden, The World’s Most Famous Arena on Saturday, October 2, 2004. This WBA International middleweight championship bout will be presented by Don King Productions in association with Madison Square Garden and be produced and distributed domestically by HBO Pay-Per-View and broadcast internationally and on closed circuit by KingVision.

Felix Trinidad and Ricardo Mayorga met today at the Don King Productions offices. They are each in town to promote their upcoming October 2 bout. What they agreed upon today was a $100,000 bet to go to the winner of the bout. They shooks hands in the parking lot.

Included in the promotional activities are a Monday photo shoot and press conference.

Also on Monday, "World Champions Congregate" at Pro Player Stadium when Three-Time World Champion Tito Trinidad will meet with the 2003 World Champion Florida Marlins prior to the Marlins Phillies game.
