PRESS RELEASE: Trick or Treat—Halloween will definitely be a treat for BoxingTalk.com readers as famed boxing writer Michael Katz has joined the staff and will begin writing for the popular website beginning October 31st.   The announcement of the addition of Mr. Katz to the already stellar group of BoxingTalk writers was made today by BoxingTalk President Greg Leon.  Katz was the first big-name boxing writer to make the jump to the internet when he left the New York Daily News to join the late lamented houseofboxing.com in 2000. Before the News, the Nat Fleischer winner for excellence in boxing journalism, wrote for the New York Times. He spent six years in Paris, France, where he was Sports Editor of the New York Times international edition and then, for the International Herald Tribune.   He has been covering boxing for 40 years will now write exclusively for BoxingTalk. Katz is a native New Yorker who now resides in Las Vegas with his daughter, Moorea.
