PRESS RELEASE: Sebastian Sylvester will have revenge on his mind on June 23 when he comes face to face with European middleweight champion Amin Asikainen for the second time in 12 months. In Zwickau, Germany, the Hurricane will be eager to make amends for last June´s surprising eighth-round TKO-stoppage. "I have proven that I´ve learned from that defeat," Sylvester (25-2, 12 KOs) stated. "I am keen to make up for the loss. I am over it, but it´s a question of personal satisfaction to beat him."

Asikainen (21-0, 15 KOs) took home the European belt but it would not take long for Sylvester to get back on track. He clinched the WBA Intercontinental Middleweight title from Frank Mezaache later that year before making two successful defences, one against Peter Mitrevski Junior and the other one against Alessio Furlan. Neither fight went the full 12 rounds. "I am ready for the rematch. There is no way he will beat me a second time," Sylvester said. "He has got something that belongs to me."
