Sylvester determined to beat Castillejo

Sebastian Sylvester, Marco Huck and Karo Murat all have important fights  coming up this Saturday in Neubrandenburg, Germany. Today the trio participated in a public workout in the East German city. European middleweight champion Sylvester (28-2, 13 KOs) is preparing for what coach Hartmut Schroder calls „the biggest challenge of his career“ - a meeting with former world champion Javier Castillejo (62-7, 43 KOs). „If you want to reach the top, you have to beat the big names,“ Sylvester said of his clash with the experienced Spaniard, who is Felix Sturm´s mandatory challenger. „I am eager to defeat him.“

Sylvester can once again count on the support of his home fans. „My home city of Greifswald is just 50 miles away so I´m really looking forward to fighting here.“ Sylvester proved his form in today´s work-out, while Castillejo only gave a brief taste of his class during a quick session.

Up-and-coming super-middleweight Karo Murat (16-0, 11 KOs) will also make the biggest fight of his young career when he challenges European champion Cristian Sanavia (40-3, 12 KOs). „I know he´s a talented young fighter but I am more experienced and will win,“ Sanavia said. „I´m
ready.“ Murat today showed his strong left and right hooks in practice. „I have been working very hard in training,“ he stated. „I am well prepared and up to the challenge.“

In his first fight since losing to IBF cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham, Marco „Captain“ Huck (19-1, 14 KOs) will take on Leon Nzama. The 23-year-old will be coached by Manfred Wolke. „Even in this short period of time I have learned a lot from him,“ Huck said. „I can´t wait to get back into the ring and work my way back to the top. Saturday will be the first step.“
