Sycuan and Warrior's working together!

Press Release: Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing have announced they are pledging their considerable resources to better establish themselves as more influential and important participants in the sport. Their first joint effort will be an attempt to promote a bout between IBF lightweight champion Jesus Chavez and IBF lightweight interim champ Julio Diaz. Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing co-promote Diaz and have co-promotional rights to newly crowned WBA super bantamweight champion Celestino Caballero.

"The so-called 'sleeping giant' is more than just Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing," said Glenn Quiroga, president of Sycuan Ringside Promotions.  "That term indicates the financial strength and breadth of commitment that can and will be brought to boxing by the entire Native American community. Today we are two promotional entities," said Quiroga.  "But already there are other Tribes and Bands getting actively involved in boxing, and that's when our solidarity and resultant might will make an even bigger positive impact."

"With the success both Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing have enjoyed this year, we believe now is the time to step up the pace and make larger and stronger inroads within the sport," said Scott Woodworth, vice president of Sycuan Ringside Promotions.

"Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing are going to commit their resources, which are not meager, to achieve just that," said Woodworth. While both promotional entities are well funded, neither Woodworth nor representatives of Seminole Warriors Boxing elected to
disclose what exact dollar amount may be committed.

Sycuan Ringside Promotions made its promotional debut during 2004, but already has five current world champions and has promoted and presented world title bouts on premium cable networks across the country. Sycuan Ringside Promotions recently became the first non-Nevada Native American entity to be granted a promoter's license by the Nevada State Athletic
Commission.

Sycuan Ringside Promotions has many notable boxers in its stable, including welterweight world champion Carlos Baldomir, undefeated World Boxing Organization junior lightweight champion Joan Guzman, World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion Israel Vazquez, Diaz, Caballero and
undefeated prospects teenage lightweight Jorge Paez Jr. and cruiserweight Shawn Hawk. Sycuan Ringside Promotions is led by Quiroga; Woodworth; and Willie Tucker, executive vice president.

Seminole Warriors Boxing of Hollywood, Fla., was formed one year earlier, during 2003, and also has presented numerous bouts and cards on premium cable networks and on a pay-per-view basis. One pay-per-view card was a co-promotional effort between Sycuan Ringside Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing, the inaugural "Tribal Pride" during May in Hollywood, Fla., in which Diaz won the IBF lightweight interim championship Seminole Warriors Boxing's world champions include WBC cruiserweight champion O'Neil Bell and IBF junior welterweight champion Juan Urango.
