Sultan Ibragimov Steps Up Level Of Competition!

Matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz has secured an opponent for Sultan Ibragimov's April 22, 2005 date in Atlantic City, and Ibragimov better not be expecting a free ride.  The undefeated Ibragimov, who dominated and stopped Al Cole his last time out, will be matched against Zuri Lawrence, a certified heavyweight spoiler.  Ibragimov won Olympic silver at heavyweight in 2000, but don't expect Lawrence to be impressed. In 2002, Lawrence handed 2000 super heavyweight bronze medalist Paolo Vidoz his first loss.  Lawrence is just 19-9, but five of those losses were in 1998 or earlier and he also has a 2003 draw with Ray Austin on his record. This bout represents a clear step up on Ibragimov's road to becoming a top contender. No opponent has been
named for Sultan's cousin, Timur Ibragimov, who will appear on the same card. Although Sultan has the Olympic medal, Timur seems to have more punching power, evidenced by his frightening one-punch KO of Ronald Bellamy earlier this month.  The Ibragimovs are sponsored by a major Russian oil company, Nafta Moskva, and the April 22 show will be promoted by Dee Lee Promotions and Final Forum at The Tropicana in Atlantic City.  Tickets can be purchased at the venue box office or by calling 856.692.1206 or 516.343.0053.
