Stewart in action on Peltz show!

Press Release: Richard Stewart faces one of his toughest tests as a pro when he takes on veteran Ron Boddie in a scheduled six-round light-heavyweight contest Friday, September  29, 2006 at the New Alhambra on Swanson & Ritner Streets in South Philadelphia.  Topping the seven-bout card is a ten-round junior welterweight fight between Chad Brisson and Russell Stoner Jones.  Stewart, 30, of New Castle, DE, is the older brother of Contender contestant Michael Stewart.  Richard turned pro midway through 2004 as a 290-pound heavyweight and slowly has worked his way into fighting condition as a light-heavyweight.  He is 9-2-1 as a pro. In his last fight, Stewart earned a four-round decision over Cameron Bright. Boddie, 31, of West Philadelphia, has fought some of the best super middleweights and light-heavyweights up and down the East Coast.  His 15-33-5 record, 7 K0s, includes bouts with such top men as Randy Griffin (three times), Larry Marks, Chad Dawson and Anthony Hanshaw.  In his last fight, Boddie dropped a six-round decision to unbeaten (9-0) Mike Paschall. CN8 will televise the Brisson-Jones and Stewart-Boddie fights on  tape delay (October  7, 7 pm). Tickets are on sale at the offices of Peltz Boxing (215-765-0922) or they can be purchased online at www.peltzboxing.com.
