Steward speaks on training Cintron!

GL: Kermit Cintron is a tall fighter for his weight class and he has power, I know that's right up your alley Manny. Can you tell us how the two of you hooked up? "I talked with him a few weeks back and you know I always thought he was nice person and I always thought a lot of him as a fighter. Injuries have set him back from time to time. I knew his fight with Margarito was going to be a tough time because Margarito has been so active and I'm a person who believes in activity. He lost the fight to a good fighter but I think with the proper activity he has a good chance of becoming a champion and bring a lot of excitement."

GL: You're one of the busiest people in the game, will you have the necessary time to consistently work with an active Kermit Cintron?

ES: "I'm basically working with one fighter and that's Wladimir Klitschko. Other than my work at HBO which is twice a week, I'm here at the gym most of the time so he's going to be training here (Kronk) regularly and I'm looking forward to really getting to know him. He's been off a long time so he needs to get back in training and have some comeptitive sparring in the gym."

GL: Based on what you know about him as a fighter, do you feel there's anything new you're going to add to his style that will make him a better fighter?

ES: "I have to spend some time training to have a better answer for you Greg. He's a solid fighter, he could punch but he's had some hand problems. I don't have any preconceived ideas of what he really needs to focus on until I spend some time training him."

GL: Do you have any idea when Kermit's next fight might take place?

ES: "I'm not sure but we're going to be working in the gym starting now."
