Stevenson says he's willing to fight Zepeda in July

WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, who will likely fight in July, tried his hand at matchmaking on Twitter: "Me vs. William Zepeda and Abdullah Mason vs. Floyd Schofield in July. [That would be two fights of] Top Rank vs. Golden Boy. Oscar De La Hoya and Bob Arum, let’s give the fans what they want."

Stevenson made that comment after fellow Top Rank lightweight Abdullah Mason (12-0) tweeted: "Floyd Schofield said in a recent interview that he was ready to fight me to get to Shakur. [Tell his] promoter Oscar De La Hoya I’ll accept that fight, cut Schofield loose for July."

Stevenson had earlier tried to talk WBC junior welterweight champion Devin Haney into a fight, only to get shot down by Haney's father and manager, Bill Haney: "Shakur ain’t made a single fight happen, not one real fight yet with nobody at all because [promoter] Bob [Arum] makes his fights happen, not him. I wouldn’t waste my time negotiating or even talking to that dude ever again in life. He can take his B.S energy and work it on somebody else."

Stevenson responded: "Bill  just told y’all he will never negotiate a fight between me and his son Devin ever. If that’s not ducking then I don't know what is. But good luck to y'all. I wish y'all nothing but the best. I’m not going nowhere, I’m here to stay."

Of course, Haney already has a big fight scheduled: "I negotiated with dude and nothing happened. I put a deal on the table he didn’t take the deal or counter it. I’m not doing the twitter beef again. April 20th is Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia"
