TVA Sports has reported that Badou Jack had to sign off on a rematch clause in order to get his crack at WBC light heavyweight Adonis Stevenson. This announcement might come as a surprise to the WBC and its board of directors who mandated that the winner of Stevenson-Jack face undefeated interm titlist Oleksandr Gvozdyk next. November 2013 was the last time a WBC mandatory was made in the light heavyweight division. It should be interesting to see how this story develops regardless of who the winner is, however a Jack upset would make for an especially precarious situation moving forward.
