Stevens, Primera weigh in for tonight's rematch

Press Release: A highly anticipated rematch between Curtis "Showtime" Stevens will take place tonight on DiBella Entertainment's Broadway Boxing show at the Manhattan Center on New York City's 34th Steet. Stevens weighed in yesterday at 165 while Primera tipped the beams at 162 1/4. Prior to their first encounter, Stevens had started his pro career with 13 straight wins, 11 of which were by often-spectacular knockouts. Primera was thought to be a step up for Stevens, but not a threat, given his record of 20-14-2. Primera took a pounding from Stevens, but began a brave comeback that was momentarily derailed by one of the most brutal low blows you can imagine. Primera, on the canvas in tears and suffering from trauma to his private parts, got up and went to war with Stevens, earning a stoppage that Stevens claims was premature. The night's main event will feature popular Edgar Santana, 19-2-1, who weighed in at 139.5 for his ten rounder against Meacher Major. From the Bahamas, the 11-2-1 Major weighed in at 138.5 Tickets are still available for tonight's show.
