Star Boxing signs four

Press Release: Star Boxing and its CEO Joe DeGuardia announced the signings of four boxers: welterweight Said Ouali, junior middleweight Daniel "The Haitian Sensation" Edouard, 2004 US Olympic heavyweight Devin Vargas, and super featherweight Eric Hunter. "I am extremely excited about each one of these fine young athletes" stated DeGuardia."

"Star Boxing is committed to take talented young fighters and help them reach their highest potential and becoming world champions".

Ouali (21-2) is coming off a career best effort, knocking out Irving Garcia in two rounds on March 23, 2007, a bout televised nationally on ESPN2's popular fight series, "Friday Night Fights".

Edouard (18-1-2) is a crowd pleasing fan favorite. His memorable brawl with Willie Gibbs in August of 2004, was voted ESPN2's "Fight of the Year". Daniel moved up in weight to face soon-to-be world middleweight champion Jermain Taylor in February of 2005 but was unsuccessful in his effort. Edouard is scheduled to take on Albert Erosomole on July 20, 2007, a bout which can be seen on ESPN2.

Vargas (11-0) was a member of the 2004 United States Olympic team competing as a Heavyweight. Devin has been impressive since he turned professional in November of 2004 and he hopes Star Boxing can advance his career at an accelerated pace. With the heavyweight division lacking a true American prospect, Devin hopess he can fill the void and become a world champion.

Hunter (7-1) was an alternate on the 2004 United States Olympic team is coming off a six round decision victory over tough guy Vineash Rungea, April 11, 2007. Hunter is scheduled to fight on July 12, 2007 against Hassan Wasswa.

Eric Hunter seems to have summed it up best for the Fantastic Four by stating, " Joe is the future in the boxing industry and I know he will take me to the top".
