Cory Spinks W12 Rodney Jones... In an off-television bout from Kissimee, Florida, Cory Spinks retained the IBF 154-pound title with an easy mandatory defense over Rodney Jones. Spinks cruised to a unanimous decision by scores of 120-108 (twice) and 118-109. Spinks is now 36-3 while Jones drops to 37-4-1, although Jones has few big fights on his resume. With Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather facing each other, Spinks vs Travis Simms seems like a great fight that Don King could make relatively easily, provided Simms gets by Joachim Alcine. source: Stephen Breland at ringside
