Lwando Mngambi W10 Lebogang Pilane.... The Vibrant Sports Studio in Cape Town, South Africa was the scene for professional boxing on Friday, promoted by Jackie Brice Boxing Promotions. The main event was a clash of South African super flyweights that saw Lwando Mngambi pass his toughest test to date against the rugged Lebogang Pilane. Many rounds were close, but Mngambi did enough to edge most of them, while Pilane tried his best to take him out of his rhythm and find a deciding punch before the fight went to the scorecards. Judges Oscar Noels, Elroy Marshall and Sipho Ndongeni scored the fight 98-92 (twice) and 99-91 for the undefeated Mngambi (6-0 with 2 KOs). Pilane drops to a misleading 6-8 with 3 KOs.

 

A planned heavyweight fight between South Africa's Joshua Pretorius and Shafic Kiwanuka from Uganda was cancelled on Thursday as the latter had to pull out due to a hand injury.
