Diaz faces veteran Gerardo Zayas, of Tijuana, in the ten-round super main event while Soto, also from Tijuana, takes on an opponent to be determined in the semi-main event. The 24-year-old Diaz, ranked #15 by the WBC among featherweights, has a record of 16-5-2 with eight knockouts including a record of 13-0-2 for his past 15 fights dating back to 2000. The 27-year-old Zayas lists a mark of 22-8-1 with 12 knockouts. The 24-year-old Soto, who appears in the world ratings of all four major sanctioning bodies at 126 pounds, has a record of 36-5-2 with 21 knockouts and has won 22 of his past 23 bouts dating back to 2000. Both Diaz and Soto hold regional titles.
