From press release

Dominic Pesoli's 8 Count Productions and Bob Arum's Top Rank team up for a third month as Telefutura's Solo Boxeo broadcasts from Chicago on Friday, November 5, 2004 from the Riviera Theater located at Broadway and Lawrence in the city's Uptown section. Tickets are on sale now by calling 312-226-5800. Doors open at 6pm, first bell is 7pm.

"We are thrilled to return to Chicago," said Bob Arum,  president  of Top Rank, Inc.  "I am very proud of our association with 8 Count Productions, our co-promoter in this event.  I  am particularly proud of televising this event on Solo Boxeo on Telefutura.  This is an important televised series on which many Top Rank champions, contenders and future stars have appeared  on the last several years."

Stated Dominic Pesoli, president of 8 Count Productions, "we're very happy to continue our terrific relationship with the Top Rank family. Its great that fight fans all over the world can see the high quality fights that our loyal following has seen locally for the last seven years.  Plain and simple we need more room. Its a very nice venue and this should allow for a terrific experience at the event. Every seat will have a great view of the ring. We're a hot ticket in Chicago and we want to make sure our fans enjoy the whole experience.

Topping the huge card is the return to the ring of junior middleweight Chicago fan favorite, "Classy" Freddie Cuevas, 23-7-1 (16 KOs) who was last seen dropping a decision to Kingsley Ikeke.  Discussing his return, Freddie said, "its always great fighting in Chicago, the fans are terrific, they know when they come to 8 Count events they'll see quality fights and have a fun evening." Cuevas, holder of technical knockout wins over Wilfredo Rivera and Charles Murray is looking to get into the mix in the crowded junior middleweight field.

Making his Chicago debut is world ranked lightweight, Steven Luevano, 25-0 (12KOs) of La Puente, CA against TBA. The twenty-three year old hot prospect is currently ranked #30 by Boxingtalk and also WBC #10, WBA #13 and WBO #8. Just twelve days ago, Luevano put on a terrific display of his boxing skills by taking a shutout decision over Cristian Favela, in a bout seen on Solo Boxeo broadcast from Laughlin, NV.

Making his return to the 8 Count Productions ring is super-middleweight, Chicago native, Oscar Bravo, 20-2 (17KO's). The hard swinging Bravo has won four fights in a row by knockout and is looking to continue his quest to jump in the world rankings.

Also making his first Chicago appearance is hot junior welterweight prospect Hector Alejandro Jr., 9-0-1 (6KO's) of Buffalo, NY in a scheduled eight rounder.

Making their pro debuts in separate bouts are national amateur standouts, junior middleweight George Gonzales and super middleweight Ottu Holifield. Chicago-born Gonzales is a three-time Chicago Golden Gloves champion and a two-time Junior National Champion. Holifield, also of Chicago, was a 2001 National Golden Gloves Silver Medalist. Rounding out the card is Chicago native welterweight Trinidad Garcia, 3-0-1, who returns to the 8 Count ring after taking a hard fought draw against Corey McCants this past August. More information on this great evening of professional boxing will be available shortly.
