David Banks W10 Elvin Ayala... In a minor upset, super middleweight prospect Elvin Ayala took his first pro loss by split decision loss to David Banks. Now 13-1, Banks defeated Ayala by scores of 96-95 and 97-94, which overruled a card that favored Ayala, 96-94. The Solo Boxeo main event was staged in Boston, not far from Ayala's Connecticut home, but there would be no home cooking for the 16-1 prospect when the verdict was announced. Castulo Gonzalez W8 Priest Smalls... Castulo Gonzalez posted a useful win in Boston, outpointing the more experienced Priest Smalls over eight rounds on the Solo Boxeo co-feature. Although the Telefutura scorecard had the featherweight bout even at four rounds apiece, the official scores favored Gonzalez, 77-75 (twice) and 79-73.
