Sold-out Duddy fight to be shown on PPV

Press Release: On Friday, March 16, 2007, from the Theater in Madison Square Garden, New York, John Duddy takes on Anthony Bonsante in what is already a sold-out show. At the age of 36 Bonsante has the experience while Duddy oozes the confidence of youth. Both men also like nothing more than to come forward. “We sold out (4,955 seats) three weeks before the fight," Irish Ropes Promotions president Eddie McLoughlin confirmed. "With all of the interest in John and the show being held the night before St. Patrick’s Day, we probably could have sold 8,000-9,000 tickets, but now the only way people who don’t have tickets can watch is on pay-per-view. Next year, hopefully, we’ll be in the big arena at Madison Square Garden." "The rapid sell out of The Theater at Madison Square Garden is proof that John Duddy is one of the sport’s most exciting boxers," said Joel Fisher, Senior Vice President Madison Square Garden Sports Properties. This night of boxing also features Irish prospects Andy Lee, Mark and James Clancy and newcomer Henry Coyle as well as world rated middleweight Giovanni Lorenzo and female Super-featherweight Maureen Shea. "Erin Go Brawl," presented by Irish Ropes Promotions, will be available in North America on pay-per-view for $24.95 and outside this continent via web broadcast on SecondsOut TV  from 9PM/ET, 6PM/PT for $9.99.
