Simply a Darling win over Anchondo

Ex-titlist KTFO by Darling Jimenez

Darling Jimenez KO3 Mike Anchondo... In ESPN2 main event Darling Jimenez, a Dominican lightweight fighting out of New York City brutally knocked out Mike Anchondo, of California, with a left hook in the third round. Anchondo, who also was knocked down in the second round, was knocked unconscious. Jimenez improved his record to 23-2-2, while Anchondo, who briefly held a WBO 130-pound title, fell to 27-2, and will now wonder if he has what it takes to get back to the championship level. source: washington post

William Joppy TKO1 Virgil McClendon... Faded ex-middleweight titlist William Joppy got an easy win in Washington, DC when Virgil McClendon, a 42-year-old boxer who had not won since 2002,  quit on his stool after one round, complaining he couldn't see because of a cut outside his left eye caused by an accidental head butt. Joppy hasn't done much since losing to Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor, but promoter Mike Acri thinks he can bring Joppy back to a big fight. McClendon is 22-10, but never really had a solid win in his career. source: washington post
