Showtime announces Holt-Torres III

According to Showtime's website, the network will televise a third rumble between Kendall Holt and Ricardo Torres on December 13th.  Their first fight on in September 2007 ended with controversy as Ricardo Torres won via technical knockout but it seemed like a quick stoppage. The unruly behavior of the crowd in Torres' native Columbia raised many eyebrows as the atmosphere was threatening.  Holt was ahead on two of the three judges scorecards at the time of the stoppage in the eleventh round.  Their second battle was fought in July 2008 in a neutral setting in Las Vegas.  Holt managed to get up from two early knockdowns to score a first-round stoppage but clearly benefited from a headbutt for which he wasn't even warned. The third fight is scheduled to be in Holt's backyard, Atlantic City.  The WBO 140-pound title will be at stake.
