WBO lightweight champion Diego "Chico" Corrales and WBC lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo will unify their titles on Showtime March 5. Negotitations for the bout were at a standstill for weeks, but at the end of the day, Corrales decided to take the money offered as Showtime was on the verge of searching for a new main event. Undefeated super middleweight champion Jeff "Left-Hook" Lacy will defend his IBF title in the co-feature. If Lacy isn't obligated to a mandatory defense, Showtime's Ken Hirshman liked the idea of Lacy-Scott Pemberton when he spoke with Boxingtalk.com last night. Remember where you heard it first!
