Rashad Evans to Take Place of the Injured "Shogun" Rua

Maurcio “Shogun” Rua has been faced with another setback. The 2005 Pride MW Grand Prix Champion and then-Chute Boxe member who ran through Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Alistair Overeem and Ricardo Arona in a span of four months and was widely recognized as the top LHW in the world a year ago.  He then injured a ligament prior to his bout with Forest Griffin and subsequently lost via submission.  Following that bout he had surgery and was scheduled to fight former UFC LHW champion Chuck Liddell at UFC 85 in June but now reinjured the same knee, which will require more surgery.  He will be sidelined indefinitely.  Chuck Liddell will now face TUF winner and undefeated Rashad Evans (11-0-1).  Source: Sherdog
