Former 2000 Olympic silver medallist Rocky Juarez announced to Boxingtalk that he has asked long time trainer Ray Ontiveros to step down from his position and for the time being is now working out of Willie Savannah's gym with Ronnie Shields. However, Rocky has stated that he still wants Ray in his corner but with someone else taking the key roles. In the last few days many changes has happened for the 2 time title challenger, he also stated that is is now a free agent from Main Events and is free of his contract with manager Shelly Finkel, though Juarez makes it clear that he plans to bring Finkel back for a second tour of duty. When talking to Rocky he said that his move to Ronnie Shields is just on a trial period as of right now and may go with other trainers later.
