In response to the news that Elvir Muriqi has withdrawn from his scheduled May 9th ESPN2 bout against Omar Sheika, Boxingtalk was issued the following statement by Sheika: "You are the biggest coward I ever met.  I heard today that you asked for more money and didn't get it, so you pulled out. You are a disgrace to boxing and to your people.  I want every promoter in this buisiness to understand that you are unreliable, your word is no good, and that you can not be counted on to show up for a fight. Why would anyone offer you a big fight when you can't even be trusted to show up? You are truly a punk and you know if we did fight, I would expose you as a fraud. You better have someone hit you in the back with a baseball bat so it will look like you are really injured when the commision examines you." Sheika added, "I expect Star Boxing to offer me a new opponent on the show because it is their guy who pulled out. I am really looking forward to returning to ESPN because that's where I've had the best fights of my career."  Remember where you heard it first!
