GL: Can you give us some thoughts on Chad Dawson's victory over Jesus Ruiz? "I thought his performance was masterful and I believe he's the number one fighter at 175 or 168. Chad was on weight for the last three weeks. We've dropped the name Bad Chad officially on Saturday night. Now he's become Awesome Dawson. We're willing to fight the people who are deserving of it. Antonio Tarver, Clinton Woods, the winner of Hopkins and Wright, Jermain Taylor if he wants to come to 168 and again Tarver would be a wonderful fight."

GL: I spoke with Antonio and he basically said as long as Team Dawson makes the sure the fight makes sense he has no problem taking it.

Gary Shaw: "I'm going to be talking with Ken Hershman and we're going to try to make it happen."

GL: If you had your choice between matching Dawson with another title holder or Tarver what would it be?

GS: "I think my choice would be Tarver because I believe Tarver has the name and Tarver is a person, who I respect and like and I think it's the kind of fight that's good for boxing."

GL: If not against Tarver when can we expect Dawson back?

GS: "I think we can expect Dawson back in either September or October."
