Erdei delights Hungarian crowd with win over Lakatus

From Universum’s website (boxing.de): Zsolt Erdei, Boxingtalk’s #3 light heavyweight defeated Alejandro Lakatus by unanimous decision in Budapest, the capital of Erdei’s native Hungary.  Erdei, 21-0, defended his WBO title by scores of 118-109, 116-111 and 116-112.  Although Antonio Tarver merits recognition as the true world champion at 175 pounds, Erdei became the second Hungarian to win a world title when he defeated Julio Cesar Gonzalez in January.  On the undercard, Boxingtalk’s #9 lightweight, Artur Grigorian, got back in the win column with a second-round technical knockout in the second round over Hungarian Laszlo Herczeg. According to the boxing.de website, Grigorian stopped Herczeg with a hook to the liver. Grigorian was the longtime WBO titlist who made a string of easy defenses until losing his belt to Acelino Freitas.  Also, Mihaly Kotai defeated Denny Dalton by unanimous decision but may find his Boxingtalk #30 ranking in jeopardy due to new entries in the ratings.
