Jr. lightweight “Diamond” David Santos (44-6, 29 ko’s) has been added to One Punch Productions “Ballroom Brawl!” event taking place this Friday, February 11 at the Tampa Westshore Doubletree Hotel. Santos, fighting out of the 4th Street Gym in St. Petersburg, will be the evenings’ main event. Power punching middleweight Craig Robinson (6-0-2, 6 KO’s) will be the co-main event of the evening. Robinson, of Warm Spring, GA, has knocked out 4 of his last 5 opponents in the first round. Robinson was originally scheduled to fight St. Pete’s Glenn LaPlante (7-2-1, 6 ko’s), however LaPlante withdrew from the bout yesterday afternoon. Robinson’s likely new opponent will be Haitian spoiler Julio Jean, who holds wins over both LaPlante and Hudson’s Brian Chiary. The undercard features top Bay area talent including Oldsmar’s undefeated “El Rayo” Carlos Manuel Rivera (3-0, 1 ko), Tampa female slugger Alexandra Maloy (1-0), Clearwater heavyweight Jason Barnett (3-3, 2 ko’s), the return of Hudson middleweight Brian Chiary (6-4-1), Sarasota favorite Theo Kruger (4-1, 2 ko’s), and many others. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the action starts at 7:30 PM.
