Trainer Pat Burns has informed Boxingtalk that Danny Santiago will be Antonio Tarver's opponent on December 1, 2007. According to Burns, who trains Santiago, contracts have not been signed yet but an agreement in principle has been reached. Showtime will broadcast the fights from Foxwoods in Connecticut. Santiago is 29-3-1, including a failed WBO light heavyweight title bid against Zsolt Erdei earlier this year. Santiago then made it onto The Contender, Season Three, but was cut in the first episode when he couldn't squeeze down to super middleweight.
