Samuel Peter: "I'm going to knock Sykes out in less than four rounds!"

Peter punks Klitschko!

GL: What do you know about Taurus Sykes and how does it feel to headline your first Showtime Championship Boxing Main Event? "It feels great. I want to thank Showtime for giving me this opportunity, also my promoter (Duva Boxing) and my manager (Ivaylo Gotsev). I don't know much about Sykes but it doesn't matter because whatever he brings to the table he's not going to be ready for what I have for him."

GL: So you don't know anything about Sykes as a fighter?

Sam Peter: "I don't watch tapes and the first time I saw him was at the press conference, that's it. I'm ready to bring the excitement that the fans have been missing."

GL: What's your prediction for this fight?

SP: "I'm going to punish him. I'm going to knock him out."

GL: Do you have a specific round?

SP: "No, but it will be early. He will not pass four rounds."

GL: Are you hoping that another impressive performance puts you in a position to fight for a world title?

SP: "Yeah. I'm young and I'm strong so I don't know why they wouldn't want to give me a title shot."

GL: Do you feel that you're ready for the champions now or do you need a few more fights before you fight for a title?

SP: "I'm ready to fight anybody right now."

GL: Which of the heavyweight champions do you want to fight the most?

SP: "I'm the best so I'm going for the best. I'm looking for the guy who complains and always needs surgery. We don't know what the's going to come up with next, but if he doesn't want to fight he should just pull out of the heavyweight division, give up his belt and let the rest of the heavyweight divison make it exciting again."

GL: Vitali sure does have a lot on hold right now, doesn't he?

SP: "Yeah, he always got a problem. First it's his eye, then it's his nail, then it's his back, then it's his knee."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

SP: "Tune in on Saturday night, it's going to be a great fight and my fans will not be disappointed."
