Dmitriy Salita moved up to his first ten-round fights and performed well, stopping Louis Brown by eighth-round technical knockout at the Manhattan Center in New York City. Salita won seven of the eight rounds on Boxingtalk's unofficial scorecard before Brown, whose nose bled profusely from the second round on, was saved from further blood loss by the referee before the ninth round began. Salita's record is now 22-0, but the junior welterweight still has room to improve. Had he thrown more combinations and body punches, he probably could have stopped Brown, 14-2, earlier. Â
