Salita breaks camp for Thursday night's bout

Press Release:  Dmitriy Salita has completed his training camp and returned home to Brooklyn, New York for his bout against Shawn Gallegos, 15-1, of New Mexico. Salita, 22-0, will enter the Manhattan Center ring on Thursday with a regional junior welterweight title up for grabs.  "I can't wait for Thursday night" said Dmitriy Sunday morning from his home.  "I've been away at camp (Poconos, New York) for three weeks sparring twelve to fourteen rounds with some of my stable mates. This is a title fight and I am in the best shape of my life" said Dmitriy.  When asked about specific things that he's been working on in preparation for this big fight Dmitriy said "I've been working on everything from defense to offense, Hector (trainer Hector Roca) has been great, but I've got a little something in store for Thursday night. One thing I can tell you is that, Gallegos is an agressive fighter. I am expecting him to push the action all night."  The final four days before fight night will see Dmitriy in the gym staying sharp but not sparring anymore.
