Cisse Salif KO1 Vernon Woodward... After losing a close bout to David Tua, heavyweight Cisse Salif took a step towards consolidating his position as a heavyweight contender. Fighting in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Salif stepped in against Vernon Woodward, now 8-14, and stepped out twenty nine seconds later with a victory. Salif, who has been sparring with John Ruiz lately, is now 18-5-2.

Jameel McCline KO1 Andy Sample... It wasn't a "Big Time" opponent, but in his first fight back since losing to Zuri Lawrence, Jameel McCline took his frustrations out on Andy Sample, who got a sample of McCline's left hook to his body and went down for a ten count and then some. source: Mike Borao

Shannon Briggs KO1 Brian Scott...On the Fort Smith, Arkansas all-heavyweight card. Shannon Briggs joined Salif and McCline with first round stoppages on Saturday night. The only other man to KO Scott, 25-7, inside a round was Keith McKnight in 1997. Briggs is now 44-4-1.
