A hand injury has forced unbeaten junior lightweight Dominic Salcido to pull out of the main event debut on Monday night's Thompson Boxing Promotions card at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California. Matchmaker Alex Camponovo has replaced Salcido, 8-0, with a six-round junior middleweight contest between hard hitting Enrique Gutierrez, 8-0 with 7 KOs, and Terry Wright, 5-6-1. A native of Santa Rosa, California, Gutierrez has knocked out seven consecutive opponents since winning a four round decision in his pro debut. Wright won his last bout by first round stoppage. Also added to the card is super flyweight Manuel "El Tiernito" Roman. Handled by veteran fight manager Frank Espinoza, he outboxed the then 7-0 Oscar Blanquet in February, winning a four round split  decision. He'll face off with Jose Luis Cardenas in a contest scheduled for four rounds. "El Tiernito" will look to improve on his record of 6-0-1 with 5 KOs. Four other bouts round out the card.
