Salado-Romero Guilty's new main event!

PRESS RELEASE: Undefeated Omar Salado of Tijuana, Mexico, meets veteran Jorge Romero of Mexico City in a regional super flyweight title bout on "Guilty Fight Night" card on October 6, 2005 at El Foro in Tijuana.  Romero replaces Luis Valdez, who had to withdraw because of illness.  Valdez became ill Friday, which prevented him from training for five days for this championship bout. Salado, a boxer-puncher who swarms over his opponents,
has a record of 12-0-1 with five knockouts while the 36-year-old Romero has a mark of 20-18-1 with nine knockouts. Salado has fared well on Guilty Boxing cards with nine straight wins in Tijuana and Las Vegas.  On July 7 he stopped Eduardo Morales in the sixth-round of a 10-round bout in Tijuana and on April 8 he took a 10-round unanimous decision over Francisco Paredes in Las Vegas.  Six-round bouts on the show include: welterweight Fernando Uribe (8-0, 7 KOs) against Raymundo Verdugo (0-7); super featherweight Michael Lozada (17-2-1, 11 KOs) against Julian Nunez (7-5, 4 KOs); super bantamweight Francisco Leal (7-0, 5 KOs) against Manuel Sarabia (13-16-6, 9 KOs); and super flyweight Jesus Vasquez (9-1, 8 KOs) of Culiacan, Mexico, against Roberto Castro (5-4, 4 KOs) of Los Mochis.
