Saez ready to fight twice in three weeks

Press Release: Hector “Chin Checka” Saez improved his record to 8-3  with a sixth-round technical knockout of Juan Manual Matias, who falls to 8-6. Saez used his roughhouse style to frustrate and hurt Matias several times over the first five rounds, which left Matias looking to referee Ed Walsh for help. Walsh would not oblige, dishing out a warning to Matias for holding and wrestling. Saez used his trademark left hook to the body to end matters at 1:33 of the sixth round.  With the win Saez continues his career. His mantra for the past  three fights has been, “if I lose to anything but an undefeated prospect type fighter, I’m done. I won’t become an opponent or punching bag, period.” Saez’ next test will come February 23, 2006 in Lemoore, California against Juan Herrera who comes in with an impressive record of 9-3-1. The card will be promoted by Goosen-Tutor.
