Saenghiran Captures ACBO Interim Title At 122

Former Asian Boxing Council (ABCO) bantamweight champion, Saenghiran Krathingdaeng Gym (Lookbanyai), moved up to the 122 pound division and captured the ABCO interim title with an impressive ninth-round KO victory over fomer OPBF super bantamweight boss Pedirito Laurente, from the Philippines. The Thai fighter tool control of the fight in round five with a huge body attack and then took Laurente out with a combination of punches at 2:11 of the ninth round. Due to weight problems, Saenghiran relinquished his the ABCO bantam belt and moved up four pounds heavier. Wethya Singwangcha (Sakmuangklang), rated #26 in the Boxingtalk ratings holds the main ABCo title in the 122-pound class.  At bantamweight, Chatchai Krathingdaeng Gym (Sasakul), the former WBC flyweight champion, was upgraded to ABCO champ at 118 when Saenghiran moved up.
