Greg Leon: Congrats on last month's win over Maria Jose Nunez (17-13-1). Can you give us some thoughts on your performance?Â
Elena Gradinar:Â "It was an easy fight for me. I didn't take even one single punch from Maria during the fight."Â
GL: You're going to be fighting Paola Torres (11-2-1) next month, what are your thoughts about her as a fighter?Â
EG: "The fight will take place on the January 6, 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia. It will be most important and dangerous fight in my still-short professional career. Paola is a more experienced boxer than me as professional, but I'm more experienced as an amateur. So I will try to tip the balance to my side by combining in my amateur and professional experience."
GL: What are you hoping a victory over Torres leads to?
EG: "It will give me the chance to fight in future vs. even more stronger opposition."
GL: What are your goals for 2018?Â
EG: "I'd like to get the chance to fight for the world title of one of the four major world boxing bodies."
GL: What are you thoughts on the featherweight division?
EG: "It's really a strong division in World female boxing hierarchy, with such a names like Elena Mrdjenovich, Cindy Serrano, Jennifer Han, Heater Hardy and other strong girls."
GL: Who do you want to fight the most?
EG: "Against any current world champion."
GL: Do you think you're ready for fighters like Cindy Serrano and Jennifer Han at this point in your career?
EG: "After couple of 10 rounds fights vs. decent rivals, I will be ready to box vs. any current world champion."
GL: How do you think those fights play out?
EG: "Father time will show everything."
GL: What part of your game do you feel needs the most improvement?
EG: "It is my secret."
GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?
EG: "I welcome all people who realize that women also have something good to do in the boxing ring."
