John Ruiz TKO2 Otis Tisdale... In Chicago, ex-heavyweight titlist John Ruiz found himself in the ring with his first easy opponent since 1999, and he took care of business by stopping journeyman Otis Tisdale in the second round. The bout was stopped when Ruiz sent Tisdale down with a combination. Tisadale is just 25-19-1 but had won three in a row coming in.  Ruiz had lost his previous two fights, dropping the WBA title by majority decision to Nikolai Valuev then losing a split decision to Ruslan Chagaev in a WBA eliminatior. Chagaev went on to take the title from Valuev. Ruiz, now 42-7-1, is still rated #3 in the WBA and now will wait to see what happens when the WBA releases its overdue ratings. source: associated press
