Roy Jones Jr to Bernard Hopkins: If you really think you could whoop me then let's do it the right way, 60% to the winner and 40% to the loser."

Last night BoxingTalk.com received a call from former pound for pound king Roy Jones Jr, who wanted to make this final proposition to Bernard Hopkins. "If he's so sure of himself and he doesn't want to do 50-50 and he's not going to change the contract, let's do this. If he wants to fight and this is my last offer and this ain't for me, this is for the fans. If Bernard Hopkins wants to fight Roy Jones Jr. and he doesn't want to do 50-50 like he promised he would do. If he don't want to do 50-50, I'm willing to go at it with him where the winner takes 60 and the loser takes 40. And we could sign that tomorrow." You definitely don't want to miss what else his Royness had to say. ONLY ON BOXINGTALK...as usual.

GL: A press release was issued stating that you're going to be working with Lou DiBella, can you give us some thoughts on that?

Roy Jones Jr: "Lou DiBella lately has been the best person as far as dealing with contracts. He knows all of the in's and out's of the contracts. But if they want to do it how I want to do it then I don't need Lou DiBella either. I don't need nobody to do it how I want to do it, and how I want to do it is 60 to the winner and 40 to the loser. I don't need Lou DiBella and I don't need Lou DiBella  for that. If they want to do their contract, of course I'm going to use someone who knows what their doing and he's been dealing with them since Hopkins fought Jermain Taylor. If you feel that you're the man and you're going to win, 60% to the winner and 40% to the loser. If you really want to fight me it's that simple. He don't need no lawyer, I don't need Lou DiBella or nobody, I could draw that contract up myself. It don't take a whole lot of talking or a whole lot of negotiating. If you really think you could whoop me then let's do it the right way, 60% to the winner and 40% to the loser."

"He's talking about the fans voting and he lost that so what else does he want you to do? That should be enough to do it for 50-50 right there with 60% of the fans saying that I have the better legacy. That should enough for us to go 50-50 right there, but if you don't want to go 50-50 we could do it like real champs are supposed to do it, 60 to the winner and 40 to the loser and call it a day and we could sign that tomorrow and then we could fight.
