RJ: Tarver can still get it, and the Pavlik-Taylor winner sounds nice too!
GL: The Bernard Hopkins-Joe Calzaghe fight is a done deal for April 19 in Las Vegas and the fight will be taking place on HBO World Championship Boxing. Can you give us some thoughts n that? "That's a wonderful thing for them, I'm glad to hear that. One of them had to shit or get off the pot. Now I'm going to have to look at one of my many other options. I got some things I can do. After my last performance I don't need nobody to make me."
GL: Do you see yourself fighting at 169 again?Roy Jones Jr: "Oscar De La Hoya is the only guy I plan on fighting that low for. If I can get De La Hoya I'll fight him in at 166. He's talking about making a big fight, it's whatever he wants to do. I don't call nobody's name. I'll fight anybody I don't care."
GL: Where do you plan on campaigning from here on out?RJJ: "Wherever I go, I go. If Oscar wants to fight me and he's talking like he might want some of this, I'll go to 166 for him. He's the only person I'll go to 166 for, nobody else. If he's chicken he'll say nothing, if he wants some of this all he has to do is say so."
GL: What about the winner of Jermian Taylor and Kelly Pavlik?RJJ: "Hey, that's another of my options G. Leon, I'll fight the winner of that fight and I have no problem making that happen as early as May or June."
GL:Â Antonio Tarver?RJJ: "Come on with it. I don't care. He knows what he was looking at the other night, all he has to do is think he can get me again and I've got something for him. (laughs)
Editors Note: Jones had a horrendous connection on his cell phone, more from RJ will follow shortly.
