Roy Jones Jr: "I will reclaim my pound for pound throne!"

GL: Can you give us some thoughts on your peformance? "I loved the performance. Hanshaw was a very game fighter which I knew he would be. I was looking forward to that and I wanted to fight a super middleweight because I really feel like that's where I should be at in weight. I plan on moving back down to the super middleweight division and I plan on making some interesting things happen."

GL: Interesting things like what against who?

Roy Jones Jr: "Well you know, whoever wants it next just has to make the offer right and it's a wrap. I'm ready to take the super middleweight division by storm. The only reason I left super middleweight to begin with is because that weight class was boring so I went up to light heavyweight for new challenges."

GL: You suffered an injury playing basketball earlier in the week, how concerned were you about the fight coming off when you first suffered the injury and did it effect your performanc any?

RJJ: "I never was concerned about making the fight because I knew it was going to happen regardless. It didn't effect my fight game much and my thumb effected me more than my eye did because my thumb wasn't letting me get off how I wanted to. But I was popping him with my right hand a couple of times and I was unable to do what I wanted to do. I set him up for the perfect knockout shot and couldn't follow up because of thumb, so I just looked at him and laughed and kept going. But I did see what I wanted to see so that was good."

GL: How do you grade your overall performance?

RJJ: "I think I give myself about a B."

GL: What do you feel needs to be improved on for you to reclaim your pound for pound throne?

RJJ: "A few more jabs, a little more head movement, feints. A couple of minor changes and I'm going to be good to go. It's been a whole since my last fight and now I'm looking to get back in the right away, I'm ready to fight in two months and it's like I said I'm ready to fight all of them. Glen Johnson, Tito Trinidad, Jermain Taylor all of them. Whoever makes the best offer that's who I'm going with.

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

RJJ: "I want to thank all of my fans for their support and continuing to show me love. I'm back to get what's mine and this is only the beginning."
