Roy Jones Jr: I've got my mind set on whooping Anthony Hanshaw, and after the way I whoop him you're going to know I'm whooping everybody else."

GL: What's the latest and greatest Jones? How has training been going for your July 14 showdown with Anthony Hanshaw? "Everything has been wonderful. I must say it feels great to have the old team back together. I've got Smoke Gainer, Gabe Brown and Kevin in the gym with me at the same time. I think I'm raising two big heavyweights for these Russians they got. The Russians are taking over the heavyweight division and I ain't got nothing against it, I just don't like it. I got two guys coming up and I'm going to try to put them in that situation. Kevin is perfect for them. He's got to get some weight off, but when he does I think he'll be perfect for them too."

GL: Do you think these extra press conference will pay dividends at the PPV box office?

Roy Jones Jr: "Whether they do or don't it don't matter. What you have to do is try and give it your effort. I want to show people that Roy will promote a fight. They say I won't but that's baloney. When Murad came to me and explained to me what we're doing and why, of course I promoted the fight. Roy will go out there and promote fights you just got to show me that you want to promote as well. I ain't going to be led around like a camel or something."

GL: Will Coach Merk be training you for this fight?

RJJ: "Most definitely."

GL: How was your father's day?

RJJ: "I spent father's day with my father. I actually didnt' see my kids. It was a good day and everything is just wonderful."

GL: Everybody knows that your domination was based on speed and reflexes and by your own admission they aren't what they used to be. Have you been able to add new facets to you game to help you regain that past dominance?

RJJ: "Absolutely. I've had to become a bit more aggressive and a lot more powerful so there's definitely been some things to add in. At the same time I started thinking, I know how much the ladies like to see my body and I got this outfit, and I'm not wearing it for a bad reason, but I believe the ladies are going to love. You're supposed to get naked for the weigh-in. I won't be naked, but I know they woman sure will love this outfit."

GL: Is Hanshaw going to the distance?

RJJ: "It's going to be hard for him. I think he's going to sleep. It's going to be hard for anyone to have a chance with me the way I'm feeling right now."

GL: If you dominate Hanshaw, are you hoping that there's no excuses made afterwards?

RJJ: "I don't think anybody would make excuses. The kid is undefeated and the kid is a wonderful fighter. He's got a very illustrious amatuer career and people can't say he can't fight. When you've got 300 amatuer fights and you're undefeated as a pro, you don't need to explain much."

GL: Is hard to deal with the press questions dealing beyond the Hanshaw fight knowing that if you don't take care of the task at hand, there will be no big fights to follow?

RJJ: "I understand how it goes and I understand that people want to see what's going to happen next, but I have to be concerned about Anthony Hanshaw and anybody else. I've got my mindset on whooping Anthony Hanshaw, and after the way I whoop him you're going to know I'm whooping everybody else."

GL: Is there anything you'd like to say in closing?

RJJ: "Ladies, I know it's going to be crazy and people will criticize what I do, but ladies trust me, you do not want to miss the weigh in for this fight."
