Roy Jones, Sr.: No decision on Jones' trainer yet!

But HBO loses patience with Roy as announcer

Boxingtalk caught up with Roy Jones, Sr. earlier today. The father of Roy, Jr. said that his son has not yet made a decision on which trainer he will work with for his upcoming bout against Bernard Hopkins. "Right now it's still up in the air, but I will talk with Roy about this on Monday," said the father, who could be in the running for the job. When asked about the Hopkins fight, Big Roy said "I think Roy wins that fight, and I think Roy can still beat Tarver as well. I believe all of this stuff should be firmed up soon, and I will have more for you on Monday". Stay tuned for an in depth interview with both Roy Jones, Jr. and Roy Jones, Sr. ONLY on Boxingtalk. [Editor's Note: New York's Daily News reports that Jones, Jr. has been terminated as a boxing analyst because, according to HBO's Ross Greenburg, "He didn;t give us the time, effort or preparation. Boxing is still in his system. He wants to fight."]
