PrefightThey really pulled out all the stops for The Real Deal. An hour of interviews, highlights, some group rappin about him...they certainly made it the Evander Holyfield show tonight. There's gonna be some upset people if he loses. Guest commentator Chris Byrd is pickin' Oquendo to win. Speaking of Oquendo, here he comes. He looks calm and surprisingly confident as he carries a large picture of his mom with the words "Carpe Diem" written on it. Holyfield enters next rockin' some purple and white Grant gear. The same ol' gnarled grizzly look on his face. He smiles to the crowd, a rather large one I might add, as he enters the ring. It's pretty packed. I wonder what the attendance is tonight. Huge cheer when they announce the only four-time heavyweight champion.
Round 1There's the bell! Oquendo paws with the jab. Both men a little cautious early. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. A right hand from Holyfield DROPS Oquendo. WOOOOOOOOOOO! Oquendo is up. A flash knockdown, but it was legit. Holyfield lands a right and a left along the ropes. Oquendo looks a little nervous now. Moving a little more. Oquendo paws with the jab and misses a right. A right hand has Oquendo flinching along the ropes. He's definitely wary of Evander's power. Oquendo lands a sloppy right over the top. Oquendo lands a jab...settling down a little bit now. Left hook to the body lands for Holyfield. They trade a couple of jabs. Woooooo...nice right hand from Oquendo clips Holyfield at the bell. Round to Holyfield, but outside of the right hand that dropped Oquendo, not much action.
Holyfield 10 Oquendo 8Round 2Oquendo misses with a sloppy right hand. Both men pawing with the jab. Oquendo standing in front of Holyfield now with a form of the John Ruiz herky-jerk. Holyfield not really throwing anything...just waiting. Wooo...now he lands a short right hand that snaps Oquendo's head back. Oquendo throwing the jab, but not with much on it. Holyfield misses with a right and Oquendo turns his back to him looking a little scared. Oquendo doesn't look too willing to mix it up...worried more about not getting hit. Holyfield misses a right and Oquendo clinches for dear life. A few boos from the crowd. Oquendo misses a hook, but lands a right to end the round. Ugly round...brutal to score. Neither man did much. Uh oh...Oquendo starting to move a little more and fire the jab. Holyfield looks a little confused. Oquendo turns his back so Holyfield takes a cheap shot to the kidney and gets a warning from the ref. Oquendo starting to frustrate Holyfield with the jab. Holyfield not doing too much. Oquendo lands the jab and clinches. Right hand lands for Oquendo. Holyfield lands a hook to the body. Another right hand lands for Oquendo as he starts to get brave now. Two jabs for Holyfield land now. A left hook grazes Oquendo on the chin. Round to Oquendo. Holyfield needs to get active.

Right hand over the top lands for Oquendo. Holyfield trying to work behind the jab now...looking to land that left hook. More boos from the crowd. Right hand lands for Oquendo and he dances away. Another right hand lands for Oquendo as he circles around. Holyfield looks confused and just follows. Another irght hand lands for Oquendo and he continues to just circle. 1-2 lands for Oquendo. Holyfield up on his toes. Misses a right hand and they clinch. Right hand to the body lands for Holyfield. Another right hand lands to the body as Oquendo turns his back to him along the ropes. Oquendo lands a right, but looks like he may be getting a little tired. 1-2 lands for Oquendo. Holyfield just keeps coming towards him. wild left hook misses for Oquendo. Right hand lands for Oquendo and he clinches. Another right hand lands for Oquendo. Holyfield lands a right to the body. Oquendo lands a right down the middle. Nice uppercut from Oquendo gets Holyfields attention at the end of the round. Round to Oquendo.
Holyfield 47 Oquendo 47Round 6Oquendo misses with a wild right hand to start the round. Holyfield closing the gap on Oquendo...lands a right to the body. Left hook from Holyfield is blocked. Oquendo holds on. 1-2 lands for Oquendo. Holyfield lands a jab. Oquendo lands another 1-2. Holyfield taking a bit of a break now...just not active enough and letting Oquendo take the rounds just by throwing the jab. Nice short right hand to the body lands for Holyfield. He's willing to mix it up, but Oquendo isn't. Holyfield throws a five punch combo to the body at the end of the round. One of the punches appeared to land right on the belt line and Oquendo tried to capitalize by falling to the ground and complaining of a low blow. The refs not buying it. No foul as he blames Oquendo for pushing Holyfield's head down while trying to clinch. Round to Oquendo for being the busier man.
Holyfield 56 Oquendo 57Round 7Holyfield comes out working the body. Narrowing the gap. Oquendo gets brave...pushes Holyfield to the ropes. Lands a couple of rights....wooooooo....Holyfield suckered him in and lands two left hooks that have Oquendo hurt. He wobbles backward. Holyfield presses the action. Lands a right hand along the ropes. Oquendo on the retreat. Big left hook just misses for Holyfield, but Oquendo walks into a hard right hook to the body. Holyfield lands another right hand to the body. Oquendo retreats. Nice right hand lands for Oquendo as he comes off the ropes. Round to Holyfield...most action I've seen from him since round one.

Oquendo lands a couple of jabs...and another 1-2 lands for Oquendo. Holyfield just following again now. Left hook to the body lands a little low for Holyfield, but Oquendo gets the blame from the ref again. Warns him about clinching and pushing Holyfield's head down. Right hand lands for Oquendo when the action continues. Another right. Holyfield just comes forward not throwing much. Now he misses with a right hand over the top. Good body shot lands for Oquendo. And a right hand lands for Oquendo to end the round. Round to Oquendo.
