Prefight
The challenger, Alexander Munoz, enters first looking relaxed and ready to fight. The champion, Martin Castillo, enters next looking confident and focused.

Round 1
Both men come out jabbing. Castillo connects with a big left hook in a wild exchange between the two. Munoz misses a 1-2 against the ropes as Castillo dances away. Munoz lands a chopping right hand on the back of Castillo's head. Munoz lands a left hand. They trade shots and Castillo goes down. Castillo is up quickly though. Looked more like he was pushed down, but the knockdown counts. Munoz continues the assault and lands a left hand. Castillo retreats, but Munoz continues to come forward a la Ricardo Mayorga. Munoz lands a right hand as Catillo lands a left hook to the body. castillo comes out firing the jab. Castillo pressing the action and lands a nice jab. Another jab lands for Castillo that keeps Munoz off balance. Munoz lands a good left of his own. Both men trade shots to the back of the head while they're in close. Steele gives them both a warning. Munoz misses a wild left hook. Castillo fires the jab and lands a straight right. Munoz drives Castillo back, but Castillo lands a counter right that momentarily stops Munoz in his tracks. Munoz lands a counter right of his own...and a left lands for Munoz. Munoz lands the jab. Castillo firing back and lands a quick combo. Munoz rakes Castillo with a right. Round to Castillo.

Munoz looks to be slowing down a little more now. Castillo misses over the top. Munoz jabs to the body. Castillo lands a good left hook to the body. Nice 1-2 lands for Castillo. Castillo is cut over his eye from an accidental headbutt. Another nice left hook lands to the body for Castillo. Left hook lands for Castillo, but then he walks into a right hand. Another big right hand lands for Munoz. Castillo lands another good body shot that slows Munoz down. They trade along the ropes to end the round. Round to Castillo.

Castillo works his jab. Munoz misses with a wild left hook. Castillo misses over the top. Jab to the body lands for Castillo. Munoz lands a left hook to the back of the head. Another cut. Castillo is cut below his other eye from an accidental headbutt. Munoz lands a right hand. Left hook upstairs and a right hook to the body lands for Castillo. Castillo dances on the outside and fires the jab. Munoz circles and doesn't throw too much for the first minute of the round. Castillo chasing...Munoz retreating. Looks like both men are taking this round off. Munoz lands an uppercut. Castillo lands a left hook to the body. They trade. Castillo lands a 1-2. Munoz holds on. They trade rights. Wooooooo....HARD counter right lands for Munoz that has Castillo momentarily stunned. Wow...not much action in that round, but that right hand from Munoz at the end probably won it for him. Munoz comes out throwing...his right eye is almost closed shut. Castillo coming foward. Munoz lands a good left hook. Castillo lands a nice right hand of his own. Both men are in the center of the ring trading now. Nonstop action. 1-2 from Castillo...1-2 from Munoz. Left hook lands for Castillo. Munoz lands an uppercut. Castillo retreats and fires the jab. Munoz coming forward and lands a nice combo to end the round. Round to Munoz.

Castillo still dancing and working the jab. Right hand lands for Munoz. Castillo lands his jab. Uppercut lands for Munoz. Left hook lands for Castillo that snaps the head of Munoz back. NOt much action from Munoz right now. Castillo fires the jab. Munoz misses a 1-2. They trade. Castillo lands a left hook. Big looping right hand lands for Castillo. Round to Castillo.

Castillo lands a right. Munoz lands a left. Castillo lands a quick jab and works the body. Both men fall to the ground as Munoz charges in. Castillo lands a left hook. And a right hook lands for Castillo. Munoz lands a right while Castillo was working the body. Another right hand lands for Munoz. Right hand lands  for Castillo. they trade along the ropes and Castillo gets the better of it. Short left hook lands on the inside for Castillo. Woooooooo...hard right hand lands for Castillo that wobbles Munoz at the end of the round. Munoz is still standing, but he looks like he's on shaky legs. Round to Castillo.

Left hook lands on the inside for Castillo. Munoz looks to be in survival mode...bleeding from the nose and mouth. Castillo works the body. Munoz lands a short right. Round to Castillo
